Introducing the Creative Professional Lab Series – “Cultural Lenses: Germany 101,” where creativity and professionalism converge to provide students with invaluable insights into cultural nuances affecting behavior, communication styles, and conflict resolution.
In this unique series, creative students at our institution will have the opportunity to harness the collective knowledge and expertise available on our campus to fuel their professional growth and personal development.
Our featured speaker, Margaret Howell, brings a wealth of experience and a master’s degree in Intercultural Communication from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Having lived and worked in multiple countries, including the USA, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Japan, and Germany, she is well-versed in designing training modules on an array of intercultural topics. These include dimensions of culture, culture shock, intercultural communication during conflicts, and professional email communication.
This training promises to equip you with knowledge on how culture influences everyday behavior, diverse communication styles, cultural approaches to conflict, and practical tips for thriving in your new German environment. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to broaden your horizons and deepen your intercultural competence.
Join us at the Creative Professional Lab’s “Cultural Lenses: Germany 101” event on 2nd November, 11am-12:30pm and embark on a transformative journey towards cultural understanding and professional growth.
